Barack Obama: 44th President of the United States

How is this going to effect us? What is in the days to come?

Inauguration 2009 almost underway! According to FOX News on Hulu.com this is the first time in 28 years that fireworks will not be a part of the celebration. This is the first time in history that an African American Man is becoming president. FOX News reported that the Washington Mall was closed at 8:30 am CST, reporting that the mall was full to capacity. This wasn’t suppose to happen until shortly before the ceremony started.

On a sad note one person was struck in a metro station not hurt badly, but as of 9:30 CST this is the only incident that has occured thus far. The kindness that is spread through the vast crowds is keeping people in great spirits despite the cold tempatures and the crowded spaces. Washington DC is alive and well today.

We are teaching our children the importance of this day. This day is an important one in American History.

I hope everyone enjoys their day,
